As a member of our team, you will interact with patients, physicians and dialysis facilities as part of our community educational program.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Physician/Chief of the Medical Facility EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE : Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff Participates in monthly radiation safety meetings Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures. Assists radiologist in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations Works alongside Medical Director during procedures by scrubbing and assisting with surgery Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician Obtains and saves images during procedures Monitors patients during procedures, operating a C-Arm (within the scope of practice) Manages, appropriately names and uploads procedural images to directory Prepares equipment which includes cleaning and sterilizing instruments Maintains inventory of medical supply par levels while working with Medical Director and Purchasing Manager Performs end of month supply counts Ensure the confidentiality of all user names/passwords assigned to you; ensure these are not shared with any other employees or third parties. Perform all job functions and employee duties to the highest level of confidentiality ensuring PHI (including electronic) is not compromised. Employee will have access to the applicable PVG network and software solutions relative to the position. Compliance with an adverse incident reporting system. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED : Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and techniques; regional and gross anatomy of the human body; standardized radiologic clinical procedures; thorough knowledge of the hazards of radiologic materials and the safety precautions required; the operation and care of modern radiologic equipment; and the ordering and storing of supplies. EDUCATION : (include any licenses or certifications required) High school diploma or the equivalent. Possession of a current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the State Department of Health Services. Two years of experience, including training in radiologic techniques and methods, under an accredited medical radiologist. (Successful completion of the work required for a graduate nurse may be substituted for one year of this required experience and training.) or successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, in collaboration with the American College of Radiology. JOB TITLE : Interventional Radiologic Technologist ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Provide assistance to the clinical team ensuring surgical schedule is followed, setting up sterile surgical tray, assisting the Medical Director with surgical cases, managing and storing patient radiographic images. As a member of our team, you will interact with patients, physicians and dialysis facilities as part of our community educational program.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Physician/Chief of the Medical Facility EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE : Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff Participates in monthly radiation safety meetings Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures. Assists radiologist in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations Works alongside Medical Director during procedures by scrubbing and assisting with surgery Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician Obtains and saves images during procedures Monitors patients during procedures, operating a C-Arm (within the scope of practice) Manages, appropriately names and uploads procedural images to directory Prepares equipment which includes cleaning and sterilizing instruments Maintains inventory of medical supply par levels while working with Medical Director and Purchasing Manager Performs end of month supply counts Ensure the confidentiality of all user names/passwords assigned to you; ensure these are not shared with any other employees or third parties. Perform all job functions and employee duties to the highest level of confidentiality ensuring PHI (including electronic) is not compromised. Employee will have access to the applicable PVG network and software solutions relative to the position. Compliance with an adverse incident reporting system. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED : Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and techniques; regional and gross anatomy of the human body; standardized radiologic clinical procedures; thorough knowledge of the hazards of radiologic materials and the safety precautions required; the operation and care of modern radiologic equipment; and the ordering and storing of supplies. EDUCATION : (include any licenses or certifications required) High school diploma or the equivalent. Possession of a current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the State Department of Health Services. Two years of experience, including training in radiologic techniques and methods, under an accredited medical radiologist. (Successful completion of the work required for a graduate nurse may be substituted for one year of this required experience and training.) or successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, in collaboration with the American College of Radiology. FMC is a beginning to end-of-life tertiary hospital. FMC is co-located with Flinders University and Flinders Private Hospital.
Noarlunga Hospital and health precinct includes an emergency department, geriatric inpatient services, elective 23 hour and day surgery, short stay medical care, a range of mental health services, medical ambulatory services such as dialysis and an infusion suite and outpatient clinics. More complex care is referred to FMC.
SALHN provides rehabilitation, dementia care and transitional care services at the Repat Health Precinct. Several non-SALHN services are also provided at the Repat Health Precinct. Redevelopment of the Repat Health Precinct is currently in progress and is being led by the Department of Health and Wellbeing. Australia’s South West – Destination Bunbury
This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent, Fixed Term and Casual appointments at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile: Bunbury Hospital has a Cleaner team who complete a high standard of cleaning in clinical and non-clinical areas to meet the infection control, hygiene, audit and aesthetic standards. Cleaning duties are completed on hospital wards, in the Theatre department, Emergency Department, Mental Health unit, public areas and at community-based clinics. Shift hours are typically either an early morning start or working into the evening.
To be suitable for this role you will ideally have a good attention to detail and will be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe hospital environment. Suitable applicants will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
As a Cleaner you will carry out cleaning duties both internal and external to the hospital following safe working procedures. Internal cleaning includes the maintenance of hard floor surfaces and carpets, cleaning of frequently touched surfaces, furniture and fittings, public areas and toilets, dusting, cobwebbing, windows, re-stocking consumables and rubbish removal. Duties may involve use of floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, vacuums and other industrial cleaning machinery. External duties include rubbish removal and cleaning of covered paved areas.
This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:
- The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
