To know and understand the methods that assist in the removal of secretions from the bronchial tree, such as hydration, breathing and coughing exercises, postural drainage, therapeutic percussion and vibration, and mechanical clearing of the airway through proper suctioning technique.

Responsible for procedures and observation to be followed during and after extubating. Responsible for the recognition of and attention to psychosocial needs of patients and their families.

What qualifications you will need: Experience: Prefer 1 year experience as a therapist in an acute care facility Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care Special Qualifications: Must hold full or temporary license from the State of Texas as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner and certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
