Paediatric Clinical Lead | Norfolk & Suffolk | Up to £52,000 Hybrid Working (1-2 Days WFH) | Monday to Friday | Maximum 10 Care Packages | Clinically Led Provider Are you an experienced Adult or Paediatric Registered Nurse with complex care experience, looking for a predominantly Monday-to-Friday leadership position paying up to £52,000, with the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week? Join a highly respected, clinically led provider where quality of care genuinely comes first, caseloads are capped at just 10 packages, and you will benefit from experienced nursing leadership, real autonomy and a supportive team culture. We are recruiting for a Paediatric Clinical Lead to join a highly regarded and growing community complex care organisation, overseeing paediatric care packages across Norfolk and Suffolk.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a fantastic reputation, an outstanding team culture and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The organisation is led by experienced clinical professionals, including a Director who is a qualified Paediatric Nurse with over 15 years of experience in complex care. Package & Benefits Competitive salary of up to £52,000 per annum.
Hybrid working with 1-2 days working from home per week, depending on clinical and service requirements. Monday to Friday, typically 9am to 5pm. Time off in lieu (TOIL) for additional hours worked, including clinical emergencies and out-of-hours competency sign-offs.
Manageable caseload capped at a maximum of 10 care packages. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
Supportive, clinically led senior management team. Excellent company culture with approachable, experienced leadership. Opportunity to contribute to the development of a growing complex care service.
Genuine autonomy to manage your own community caseload. The Role As a Paediatric Clinical Lead , you will provide clinical leadership and oversight of complex care packages supporting children and young people with complex healthcare needs within their own homes across Norfolk and Suffolk. Unlike providers where clinical teams are stretched across excessive caseloads, this organisation genuinely prioritises the quality of care delivered to its service users.
Clinical caseloads are therefore deliberately limited to a maximum of 10 packages, ensuring you have the time and capacity to provide meaningful clinical oversight, build relationships with children, young people and their families, and maintain the highest standards of care. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your week between community visits and 1-2 days working from home, where you can complete care plans, clinical documentation, reviews and other administrative responsibilities. The position offers a predominantly Monday-to-Friday, 9am-to-5pm working pattern.
Some flexibility is required to respond to occasional clinical emergencies or complete competency sign-offs outside normal working hours, with additional time worked given back as time off in lieu. You will work closely with children, young people, families, care teams, commissioners and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure safe, effective and personalised care is consistently delivered. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical oversight of paediatric complex care packages across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Complete clinical assessments, care plans, risk assessments and regular package reviews. Deliver clinical training, supervision and competency assessments for Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. Assess and sign off clinical competencies, including tracheostomy care, ventilation, enteral feeding and other complex interventions within your scope of practice.
Liaise with families, case managers, commissioners, ICBs and multidisciplinary teams. Support the mobilisation of new care packages and hospital-to-home transitions. Maintain high standards of clinical governance, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
Provide clinical guidance and support to care teams, responding to emergencies and changes in clinical needs when required.
About You Registered Nurse (RGN/RN Adult or RSCN/RN Child) with an active NMC PIN.
Experience supporting children and young people with complex healthcare needs, or relevant transferable complex care experience. Strong clinical knowledge of tracheostomy care, ventilation, enteral feeding and other complex interventions.
Experience completing clinical assessments, care plans and risk assessments. Confident delivering clinical training, supervision and staff competency assessments. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Norfolk and Suffolk. Applications are welcomed from both Adult and Paediatric Registered Nurses who have the relevant clinical experience and competencies to oversee paediatric complex care packages.
Why Join?
This Paediatric Clinical Lead opportunity offers the chance to join an organisation where clinical standards genuinely come first. Rather than prioritising growth at the expense of care quality, the provider deliberately limits caseloads to ensure every child and young person receives the clinical attention and oversight they deserve. With experienced paediatric nursing leadership, a supportive working environment, hybrid working and a predominantly Monday-to-Friday schedule, you will have the autonomy to make a real difference while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
You will become part of a business that values its clinical teams, encourages professional development and provides the support needed to deliver outstanding care. With a strong reputation and ambitious plans for continued growth, this is an excellent time to join and contribute to the development of community complex care services. Interested?
