They are responsible for preparing patients, administering contrast dye, ensuring radiation safety, and delivering high-quality diagnostic images. Special Procedures Technologist – RWJBarnabas Health At RWJBarnabas Health, the Special Procedures Technologist plays a critical role in patient care and operational excellence. Operating with a high level of independence, they perform complex special radiology angiographic and interventional procedures according to strict medical, legal, and professional imaging standards. They are responsible for exercising professional judgment during scans, ensuring accurate patient positioning, delivering age-specific care, and maintaining seamless workflow collaboration within the imaging department.
