Join SA Health's Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Social Worker in our Casual Pool for 2026-2027 with potential to move to contracted hours of work. Based at Lyell McEwin and Modbury Public Hospitals, you will provide essential social work 7-day rostered services across various clinical departments, supporting patients and families during challenging times, including Domestic, Family Violence, Child Protection, Elder Abuse, High Risk Pregnancy assessments. • Conduct brief crisis comprehensive bio psychosocial assessments and develop intervention plans
• Write professional reports and discharge plans

As a Clinical Nurse in Community Health Nursing, you'll provide advanced nursing practices in primary healthcare, driving the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies and programs to achieve the optimal health outcomes for Community Health Nursing clients. There are Consultant posts available at Wallaroo Emergency Department and Port Pirie Emergency Department. Both departments have seen a 10% increase in attendances over the last year All applicants must have attained a post-graduate qualification or be within six months of attaining this. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical services to the highest standard with limited supervision, exercising professional judgement and advanced clinical competence.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the emergency department efficiently and safely.
• Respond to MET/Code Blue/Code Black calls as required during shifts.
• Supervise, train, and provide guidance to junior medical staff and allied health professionals.
• Participate in teaching, quality assurance, continuous improvement, health promotion, and community education activities.
• Contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental performance.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced medical practitioner who holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with appropriate specialist qualifications such as FACEM, FACRRM, or FRACGP. Ideally looking for a 0.5 to 1.0 full time equivalent commitment, however all applications will be considered. You must be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration, or hold an equivalent qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work independently, lead clinical teams, and deliver high-quality emergency care in a multidisciplinary setting.

You’ll work in a mix of acute, outpatient and community settings, helping clients meet their goals, stay in their homes, and live independently — all while enjoying the diverse experiences of regional healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Occupational Therapy services across acute, outpatient & community settings
• Conduct assessments, care planning & intervention
• Triage referrals and manage clinical priorities
• Support junior staff & Allied Health Assistants
• Promote client-centred, culturally safe care

What We’re Looking For:

The successful applicant(s) must hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy profession and be eligible for full membership of the South Australian Board of Occupational Therapist. For those disciplines requiring Registration, all requirements to maintain current registration must be filled. For self-regulated professions, it is desirable to participate in the professional associations' accredited continuous professional development program.

Applicants will need to be skilled in supporting clients, carers and families across the Patient Journey, providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care and prompt follow-up. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will equip the OT in interacting effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, as well as working well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
