Job Summary and Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY : The Accreditation Program Coordinator (APC) serves as the day-to-day lead and supervises the development, implementation, and organization of the Advanced Hip and Knee Replacement and Rectal Cancer Certification programs. The APC will coordinate the efforts between surgeons, hospital administration and staff while tracking the progress of the programs and identifying areas requiring attention. The APC is responsible for all program management, report generation and review, process improvement, patient satisfaction, facilities review, and administrative activities within the facility. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : · Lead regularly scheduled meetings with hospital administrators, physician champions and key staff. · Develop standardized care plans with the surgeons including pre-op, post-op and discharge orders. · Serves as liaison between physicians, staff, hospital administration, patients and families on the implementation and operation of the accreditation programs. · Ensure appropriate pre-op preparation for each patient prior to surgery. · Develop and oversee the creation of pre- and post-op teaching classes, including the coordination of teaching materials with the physicians’ office. · Tracking and measuring surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction, identifying areas that require improvement. · Provide key statistics at leadership team meetings and to other stakeholders as necessary.
