Location: Hyde Pay Rate: £13ph - £14ph Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Monday to Thursday 08:30am - 4pm and Friday 08:30am - 2pm Role Overview We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Lab Technician to join a busy industrial site based in Hyde. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term career prospects for reliable and hardworking candidates. The role involves operating and maintaining machinery as part of the production process, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Operating and monitoring machinery safely and efficiently Setting up machinery and ensuring it is running correctly Making basic machine adjustments where required Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards Working to production targets and deadlines Loading raw materials into machines and handling finished goods Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Following all health & safety procedures at all times Reporting any faults or issues with machinery promptly Supporting other areas of production when required Requirements Previous experience in a machine operator or industrial environment is desirable Experience operating machinery is preferred (full training can be provided) Good understanding of health & safety practices Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Able to carry out manual handling tasks Willingness to learn and develop new skills Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers. Laboratory Technician Cinderford £13.00 - £16.00 per hour Double Day Shift Pattern Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Ongoing Temporary Opportunity with Potential to Become Permanent We are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a well-established manufacturing and materials business based in Cinderford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in materials testing, materials science, laboratory work, quality control, or a highly process-driven manufacturing environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Key Responsibilities Testing and analysing material samples.

Conducting quality checks and inspections in line with company procedures. Recording and reporting test results accurately. Ensuring compliance with laboratory and quality standards.

Supporting continuous improvement activities. Maintaining a safe and organised working environment. Suitable Backgrounds We would be interested in hearing from individuals with experience in: Laboratory testing.

Materials testing or materials science. Quality inspection or quality control. Manufacturing environments with strict procedures and documentation requirements.

Roles requiring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail. Good record-keeping and documentation skills.

Ability to follow processes and procedures consistently. A proactive and reliable approach to work. Previous laboratory, testing, quality, or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
