Experience with medical-surgical patients and medication drips such as heparin, Bumex, and Lasix. Cardiac drip titration is not required.

Unit Details Beds: 48.

Patient ratio: 1:5–7 on days.

Common conditions: Pneumonia, UTIs, altered mental status, GI bleeding, alcohol withdrawal, falls, and weakness. Telemetry technicians monitor heart rhythms; nurses do not need to interpret strips. Respiratory therapists manage breathing treatments and equipment.

Scrubs: Navy blue.

Orientation: 2 days total.

Schedule & Floating Day shift: 7 AM–7 PM. Every other weekend required. Holiday rotation may be required. No on-call requirement. No self-scheduling or guaranteed block scheduling. May float to other medical-surgical, telemetry, or intermediate-care units. Hospital may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract. Important Submission Rules 50-mile radius rule applies. An unexpired driver's license copy is required with submission. Any nursing license issues must be disclosed. First-time travelers are accepted.
